Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy

Arthur Dent and his friends Ford Prefect, Zaphod
Beeblebrox, Trillian and, last, but not least, Marvin the Paranoid
Android are trapped in a spaceship that is headed towards the sun and
thing are not looking good--except Trillian, she always looks good.
Then Arthur discovers a teleport machine. That’s the good
news. The bad news is that it is out of order and the automatic
guidance system is not working. Someone will have to make the ultimate
sacrifice and stay behind to operate the teleport. All eyes turn to the
metal-man with a brain the size of a planet and fortunately for the
owners of those eyes Marvin agrees.
That is the last anyone sees of Zaphod and Trillian because the gang
get separated in transit and Arthur and Ford end up on a space ship
that contains one third of the population of the planet Golgafrincham.
They are on their way to colonize another planet because their own
planet is doomed.
 That’s what they told the people
on the second Ark-ship, anyway. The second Ark was the first to leave
Golgafrincham over five years ago. In truth, however, the ship contains
only the useless third of the population and they wanted rid of them.
Dirty trick that. Especially as the ship is programmed to crash land on
the planet when it arrives.
Everyone on board the Ark survives the crash landing Arthur and Ford go
off on their own and explore their new world, only to discover that...
[[ WARNING!
SPOILER ALERT!!! ]]... it is the planet Earth and
they must have must have travelled backward in time because it is filled
with a cavemen and still has yet to evolve.
